After Saotsunehiko joined in, Iwarebiko and his men sailed further east and anchored at Shirakata harbor (present Osaka Pref.) via Namihaya No Watari (straits existed near Osaka bay).<\/p>\n

When they arrived, its local powerful family, Nagasunehiko and his army attacked them. Iwarebiko and his men took a shield and got off the ship to attack back.<\/p>\n

This battle gave the name of this place and the place is now called Tatetsu (meaning shield port, a present district name in present Osaka Pref.).<\/p>\n

During the battle, the arrow Nagasunehiko shot stuck in Itsuse\u2019s arm and Itsuse was injured badly.<\/p>\n

Itsuse said, “Although we are sons of solar deity, we attacked towards the sun (the direction of the east). This was a bad idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then suggested, \u201cWe should detour to the south and fight a battle with the sun at back.\u201d<\/p>\n

They sailed to the south as Itsuse suggested.
\n When they reached Onominato (ono port) in Ki No Kuni (present Wakayama Pref.), Itsuse shouted “I am dying because of the injury I received from enemy!” and died soon after he shouted.<\/p>\n
